Because you deserve gear that lasts as long as you do

Repairability is a core tenet of any respectable leatherwork. While leather needs care and attention to last a long time, even then there may come a time where something needs to be fixed or replaced, being able to do that without throwing the rest of the piece away makes a huge difference.

I offer lifetime repairs (according to availability) of any gear I make, including replacing hardware where possible.

Your gear should change for you, not the other way around

As a plus-size person, I know how defeating it can be to buy gear that fits only for it to be too small or too big down the line.

I do what I can to make all the gear I produce even more adjustable than meets the eye. That also includes punching new holes for buckles, or making matching extensions for straps that have become too short.

Our planet needs aftercare too

The vast majority of the leather I source is not farmed leather, but rather a byproduct of the dairy and meat industries. This does mean that the hides I purchase may not match 100%, but I consider that a fair trade off for using leather that is more sustainable and environmentally friendly.

I also try to use veg-tan and not chrome-tan leathers where possible too, since veg-tan doesn’t result in chromium salts polluting the environment.

“Vegan” leather (in the vast majority of cases) is purely plastic and is far worse for the environment than a matching quantity of veg-tan leather, so I cannot work with it or make gear from it with a good conscience.

Kink isn’t one-size-fits all. Neither is gear.

Disability justice and accommodation is a super important part of the intersectionality I advocate for.

I want to design gear for you with any and all accommodations in mind. Got a nickel allergy? Hardware made from other metals is easily accessible. Got a tracheostomy but want a play collar? Let’s talk about what an adaptive design for you could look like.

I never want you to hold back on design because you’re worried about accommodation. Let’s have a conversation about it.

Let your freak flag fly in your special way

As amazing as it is to see the Leather community grow and adopt new people, it’s clear that some of the cut-and-dry gear that’s become super prevalent isn’t enough for some people to express themselves as they really are.

I want to make the weirdest thing you can think of as long as it screams you. It doesn’t matter if it’s a kink you share with other people or not, it’s all about your self expression.

We are all connected in one way or another, and leather transcends that

A lot of the pieces I make for myself tie in both my identity as a kinkster as well as my Lebanese and Palestinian heritage – whether that be in the calligraphy I make or the stitching I do in embroidery. If you’re looking to represent Palestine and Lebanon in your advocacy, I am happy to include that in the art and gear you commission as well.

While I can’t participate in any closed crafts to make your gear, I want to make sure that I’m doing what I can to make your gear reflective of you and your culture.
